Iris Space liaisons

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated and inspired by “space”. As a non-scientist or engineer, and have never worked in the Space Industry, still, I always wanted to learn more about: What's out there beyond Earth? How [exactly] did we get here? Why us? What is consciousness? How did it begin? Are we alone?

Those are all philosophical questions, but also of great interest to physicists and scientists of all kinds as they are the “fundamental questions” of our existence; questions that humanity has been asking for generations.

​

My interest in space, hence, is about discoveries, here on Earth or the ones from spacecrafts that have visited far-away worlds, as they pertain to our understanding of our existence, and what’s beyond the nurturing atmosphere of our planet.

​

I'm also fascinated by the "Overview Effect", although I have not myself experienced it (so few have!), early in my life I was exposed to issues and school projects that taught me to care for and be aware of the fragility of the Earth, its species and all ecosystems, and of all-things environmentalism. I see many parallels between those lessons and what is the Overview Effect.

​

We are and have always been a species that thrived on exploration, and now, we live in a great time to be alive! Our technologies and innovations are helping us move forward in unprecedented ways. That is the case for many industries, but especially for the Space Sector and space exploration!

I look forward to seeing the progress in my lifetime, what new discoveries will be found in future missions, and maybe, even the possibility of me going to space (hey, you never know!)

That is precisely my mission with Iris Space Liaisons: to inspire, build liaisons, and promote a sustainable and prosperous future in space (and of course, always on the Earth too - there is no planet B!). As a Canadian, I also aim to bridge the US sector with Canada's for meaningful partnerships and collaborations.
